I spent four hours at work today painting kids faces for our Halloween party and the overwhelming reaction from the parents picking their kids up afterwards was “WHAT IS ON YOUR FACE WHO DID THAT TO YOU??”
AH GAAH Dragon Tattoo the original Swedish version, I was falling off the couch and pacing around, rolling everywhere. Some intense intensity there.
Yeah, to be honest I’ll probably never watch the original one. I mean, some of the content of the book made me really sick, and I’ve heard that the Swedish film makes those scenes super intense. I’ll probably see the American version only because it has to confine itself to an R rating. I know that makes me sound prudish but what can you do. Are you planning on seeing the American one?
(also, I understand that neither film is a “remake” and that they’re just two adaptations of one book. people need to calm da fuq down about that.)
Did you read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? I just started it the other day and I couldn't remember if you'd said you had. It's so good!
Yep, I read it and TGWPWF. They’re both pretty good but I have to say, the trailer for TGWTDT is on it’s way to convincing me that this is going to be a case where the movie equals or surpasses the book. But I definitely liked Tattoo better than the second one and I’ve yet to read the third one. Let me know what you think!!
one of the kindergartners at work was complaining to his mom that he had blood in his urine and it hurt him to go to the bathroom and we were all worried that he had kidney stones but it turns it it was just from broken blood vessels as a result of humping his toys too hard
What episode are you on? JUST HOLD ON BBE IT GETS BETTER (lol no it doesn’t, prepare for more hurt)
it’s the one where Lem gets arrested. and i know that compared to what’s to come, it’s nothing, but UGH i just always feel so bad for Lem and he looked so sad and everyone was so sad and i’m just thinking about what’s going to happen to him and how no one will ever be happy again and IDK I KNOW IT’S JUST A SHOW BUT IT’S NOT JUST A SHOW!!!!
Wait. Wait wait wait, is that "Lawman" poster a reject from season 1 or did they change the name of the show and get a different hat?
They changed the name after the show “Steven Segal: Lawman” hit the air to avoid confusion. But yes, the working title was “Lawman” (I’ve also heard that when the script was first written they actually had it titled “Fire in the Hole”, for the whole show not just the pilot. But that got changed too). The jeans and hat remain unaccounted for.
#i honestly don't remember what it was like to feel emotions before Walton came into my life --so true for me too because I'd never in my life felt any emotions like the ones I felt while watching Shane Vendrell. And it's like he opened up my feeling box because now everything I feel I feel 100x more.
Right? And now I compare all other actors to him, based on how many feelings their acting makes me feel. Basically everyone is awful except Walton.
i know what you mean. when i found out winters died i just sat at my computer and cried i was so heartbroken.
It’s weird because he’s not only one of the best TV characters ever, but he was also an actual real hero who did things that 99% of the population would never have the heart and soul to do, and he was so humble and forgiving and honest and he was just a perfect, wonderful man. And realizing that he had died was just…ugh. We can hold eachother as we weep, anon.
no really anyone who likes band of brothers is perfect in my book
i agree 100%. i mean, i’ve watched other miniseries, and they’re all well and good, but no show has ever made me feel all the feels in just ten episodes, you know? ugh, and sometimes i have to fast forward through the interviews with the veterans because they just make me feel so hard and if i watch them i’ll cry and it’s embarrassing. when Richard Winters died earlier this year i was sitting in my living room with my dad and brother and i read the news on my phone and i had to run to my room and shut the door so i could cry it was one of the worst days ever. i know you understand, anon :3
qurl yes. my brother got the box set for Christmas when i was 13 and i rewatch the entire series every year on all the military holidays. i can pretty much quote every single thing Winters ever said b/c Damian Lewis used to be my boo bear and UGH I LOVE THAT SHOW. i just don’t blog about it very much because it’s just not as big a part of my life as it used to be. except on military holidays.
